I got Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod first and Eastern Orthodox second (PCA/OPC was 8th). I had a suspicion that the result was skewed by my beliefs on paedocommunion and baptismal regeneration. Sure enough, when I tried it again with no preference on those options I came out Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod first again, but with PCA/OPC second. For a number of reasons not listed on the survey, I think that the PCA is probably where I would feel most at home. And, of course, there are paedocommunionists and baptismal regenerationists with the PCA.

Hmm. Intriguing. Why would Lutheran come out tops for you, then?

I must admit I was hugely relieved when my wife came up with the same result as me. Anything else would have put us into a bit of a nosedive, I think!

I was trying to work it out myself. Ignoring the questions on Baptismal regeneration, Christ’s presence in the Supper (that question is far too ambiguous, IMHO) and paedocommunion, I still turned up the same result. My only other guess is that it has something to do with my rejection of once saved, always saved (which was never the Reformed doctrine anyway). Or perhaps my view on tradition in the Church? I really don’t know.

Your prediction for your #1 result: Reformed Baptist

    #1 Reformed Baptist

I for one, am _not_ having an identity crisis! 😉

#2 Presbyterian Church in America/Orthodox Presbyterian Church
    #3 Reformed Churches
    #4 Southern Baptist

    Fairly reassuring.

Reversing all my answers, but not the preferences, gives:

    #1 Unitarian Universalism
    #2 Unity Church
    #3 Liberal Quakerism

Reversing all answers, except those relating to the Trinity, person of Christ, or infallibility of the Scriptures gives:

    #1 Eastern Orthodox Church
    #2 Roman Catholic Church

Reassuringly, I also know what I am _not_.

And also reassuringly, the quiz does appear to be aware that the Reformed faith and the faith of Rome/Eastern Orthodoxy are at opposite ends of the spectrum…

It’s been awhile since I did this quiz…
    1. Anglican (also my guess as to which would be #1)
    2. Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
    3. Presbyterian Church in America/Orthodox Presbyterian Church (my actual denom is OPC)

I think this test is skewed by an American fundy. For example, I object to once saved always saved yet I believe that those predestined to final salvation will be given the grace to persevere. I believe baptism saves yet I don’t accept ex opere operato. I believe the original autographs are without error but that the Bible has many scribal errors… IOW, it’s hard to know how to answer such questions. Anyway, I’m happy to be an Anglican Presbyterian. 😉
